Introduction

Keynote: Ideally, a member of the client company's upper management will deliver a short keynote address to kick off the session. These remarks will serve to reinforce the importance of leadership skills and of the training workshop itself.

Best Boss: In our introductory segment, we engage the learners immediately in thinking about what makes for excellence in leadership, in a short discovery exercise called "Best Boss". The results of this activity, which are boarded on flipcharts, are revisited several times in the course of the workshop.

How Are They Doing? Also in the introduction, we ask the learners to each envision one employee, and we then pose the question: "How are they doing?" The responses to this question are revisited later in the workshop, under the topic of "The Importance Of Task Focus".
